Key Responsibilities

* Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive communication strategy, aligning with project goals and advocacy efforts to elevate the PROTHISTHA project's visibility. * Architect high-quality knowledge products, including publications, case studies, and multimedia content, to showcase project outcomes and lessons learned. * Leverage project data to craft compelling stories and disseminate achievements to key stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective communication. * Foster strong relationships with media and journalists to secure national and international coverage of project successes. * Design and maintain a knowledge database to inform policy advocacy and decision-making. * Manage online platforms, including the website and social media, to amplify project impacts and engage stakeholders. * Develop and refine information, education, and communication materials to support project beneficiaries and stakeholders. * Deliver training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs on communications, visibility, and knowledge management to enhance team capacity. * Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to provide project insights, reports, and communication materials, ensuring seamless data sharing and analysis. * Support the Program Manager and team members in data collection, tracking, and analysis to inform timely reporting and evaluation activities. * Translate complex scientific data into accessible knowledge products, working closely with technical teams to drive anticipatory action mainstreaming in government systems. * Produce high-quality policy briefs, position papers, and guidance notes to inform decision-making and advocacy efforts. * Ensure the timely dissemination of evidence and knowledge products to relevant stakeholders, promoting informed decision-making. * Uphold organizational policies and principles, including gender equality, safeguarding, data protection, and localization, to ensure accountability and responsible programming. * Embed team building principles and partnership values in daily work, fostering collaborative relationships with project teams, partners, and stakeholders. * Provide support to the supervisor on emerging priorities, urgent tasks, and ad-hoc assignments related to knowledge management, documentation, and project visibility.

Education

  • Master's degree in Communication and Journalism, public relations or relevant field
  • Disaster Management, Climate Change, or a related field

Additional

  • Experience in Communication, visibility knowledge management
  • Experience using professional camera, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Experience producing brochure, case story, policy briefs
  • Familiarity with anticipatory action, early warning systems, or disaster risk financing
  • Strong understanding of disaster management frameworks and national DRR policies
  • Excellent writing, communication, and negotiation skills in both Bengali and English
