Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the development of the annual ICC work plan, focusing on high-risk areas that require compliance monitoring. • Drive compliance awareness across the organization, providing expert guidance to the Audit Committee, senior management, staff, and employees. • Oversee the implementation of the compliance program, ensuring its effectiveness and adherence to regulatory requirements. • Stay abreast of evolving laws and regulations, leveraging this knowledge to inform compliance strategies and mitigate risk. • Architect policies and programs that foster a culture of transparency, encouraging employees to report suspected fraud and improprieties without fear of reprisal. • Deliver regular progress updates on compliance implementation, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing service quality. • Manage external audit review processes, maintaining a pulse on compliance issues and responding to administrative inquiries. • Coordinate internal audit activities with external providers, ensuring comprehensive coverage and minimizing duplication of effort. • Communicate internal audit plans, resource requirements, and significant changes to the audit committee, highlighting the impact of resource constraints. • Ensure the internal audit function is adequately resourced, with effective deployment of personnel to achieve audit plan objectives. • Drive the timely completion of internal audit engagements, providing prompt reports to the audit committee. • Provide an annual assessment of the organization's risk management, control, and governance processes, offering a holistic opinion on their effectiveness. • Conduct annual risk assessments, informing the development of risk-based audit plans that align with organizational objectives. • Operate the ICC Division in accordance with Core Risk Management guidelines set by the Bangladesh Bank. • Monitor and follow up on audit findings, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
