Advisor - Occupational Health & Safety

* Drive the development and implementation of occupational health and safety strategies to improve working conditions in the building materials production sector. * Collaborate with project stakeholders to design and introduce standardized work instructions, guidelines, and tools for occupational safety, health protection, and social protection measures. * Deliver expert training and advisory services to owners, plant managers, and supervisory staff on health and safety best practices in the workplace. * Architect and support the development of company qualification measures for employees in environmentally friendly building materials production. * Lead the identification of day-to-day problems and develop innovative solutions to enhance working conditions and promote equal access for women and people with disabilities. * Manage and implement project initiatives to promote sustainable and climate-resilient urban development, healthier working conditions, and responsible use of natural resources. * Provide strategic guidance to supervisors on project planning, steering, and monitoring to ensure alignment with GIZ rules and regulations. * Foster partnerships with government institutions, testing bodies, professional associations, and industry representatives to drive the sustainable transition of the construction sector in Bangladesh. * Drive the development of tailored solutions to improve the political framework, building materials quality, and construction industry practices in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. * Make informed decisions that drive short-term results within the project area, with a focus on long-term impact and sustainability.
