Aquaculture Specialist

* Drive the development of climate-smart aquaculture technologies and market-based strategies to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of aquaculture and dry fish value chains. * Architect and implement capacity building programs, technical training, and entrepreneurship development initiatives for farmers and stakeholders to promote safe dry fish processing and sustainable aquaculture practices. * Foster strategic partnerships with market actors to expand aquaculture and dry fish businesses, ensuring inclusive and resilient value chains. * Lead the design and delivery of training modules, workshops, and meetings to enhance the skills of field staff, beneficiaries, and farmers in aquaculture and dry fish business development. * Manage and monitor the implementation of aquaculture activities, providing technical support to fish farmers, fish nurseries, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and entrepreneurship. * Coordinate with field staff, government officials, donors, and head office teams to ensure effective program coordination, monitoring, and compliance with safeguarding standards. * Develop and execute annual program plans and budgets, aligning with project objectives and ensuring effective resource allocation. * Create and disseminate knowledge products, such as training modules, festoons, and leaflets, to promote best practices in aquaculture and dry fish production. * Analyze and report on program progress, preparing monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports to stakeholders, using standardized program formats. * Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing through workshops, training sessions, and meetings, driving continuous improvement and program impact.
