Key Responsibilities

* Architect and execute a comprehensive financial strategy, driving alignment with the university's vision and higher education governance standards. * Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring seamless fund management and optimal resource allocation. * Champion compliance with regulatory requirements, statutory obligations, and audit standards, mitigating financial risk and ensuring adherence to best practices. * Oversee and optimize financial operations, including accounts, treasury, taxation, and financial reporting, to achieve transparency, accountability, and efficiency. * Design and implement ERP-based financial systems and procedures, streamlining processes and enhancing financial management capabilities. * Provide strategic financial counsel to senior leadership, including the Vice Chancellor and Board of Trustees, on planning, risk management, and investment opportunities. * Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing finance and accounts team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. * Foster collaborative relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, banks, and financial institutions, ensuring effective communication and mutually beneficial partnerships. * Spearhead project financing initiatives, endowment management, and investment planning, driving long-term financial sustainability and growth for the university.

Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field from a recognized university
  • FCA / FCMA / CA / CMA / ACA or equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification

Additional

  • At least 10 Years of experience in positions such as Deputy Director of Finance /Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Financial Controller/Senior Finance Manager
  • Experience in educational institutions, large corporate groups, or multinational organizations will be an added advantage
  • Proven expertise in financial governance, budgeting, auditing, and strategic financial planning
  • Strong leadership and strategic decision-making ability
  • High-level financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Expertise in compliance, taxation, and audit systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced institutional setup
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity
