Key Responsibilities

* Drive daily production activities in circular knitting, ensuring timely achievement of targets and deadlines * Spearhead cross-functional collaborations with planning, quality assurance, and other departments to streamline workflow and optimize efficiency * Champion quality control initiatives, identifying and resolving defects, and implementing improvements to meet required specifications and standards * Oversee the operation and maintenance of circular knitting machines, ensuring optimal performance, reducing breakdowns, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance * Lead and develop high-performing teams of knitting operators, technicians, and helpers, providing training, coaching, and guidance to enhance skills and productivity * Architect and manage shift operations, duty rosters, and workforce planning to ensure seamless production and minimal downtime * Foster strategic partnerships with merchandising, dyeing, and finishing departments to ensure timely input availability and alignment with production schedules * Analyze production reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to minimize costs, reduce yarn wastage, and boost operational efficiency * Ensure a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to regulatory requirements, maintaining proper housekeeping, and promoting a culture of safety and well-being * Monitor and optimize key performance indicators, including production target achievement, machine efficiency, fabric rejection rates, and yarn wastage percentage * Thrive in a fast-paced factory floor environment, adapting to shift work and extended hours during peak production periods to drive results and achieve business objectives

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or related field

Additional

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in circular knitting operations
  • Strong technical knowledge of circular knitting machines and fabric structures
