Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead the development of a cutting-edge university library system, driving innovation and excellence from its inception. * Architect library policies, procedures, and cataloging systems that meet international standards, fostering a culture of academic excellence. * Drive the implementation of digital library systems, e-resources, and automation tools, enhancing the university's research capabilities. * Oversee the acquisition, classification, indexing, and circulation of books and academic resources, ensuring seamless access to knowledge. * Lead the delivery of exceptional physical and digital library services, providing a supportive learning environment for students and faculty. * Foster strategic partnerships with publishers, vendors, and academic resource providers, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. * Empower faculty and students to achieve their research goals, providing expert guidance on information access and utilization. * Manage, train, and supervise library staff and assistants, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. * Develop and present regular reports on library development and usage statistics, informing data-driven decision-making. * Ensure the university library system meets accreditation and academic regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements

Education

  • Master's degree in Library Science / Information Science / Information Management

Additional

  • At least 08 years of experience as academic/library research
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a senior or mid-level position
  • Experience in digital library management and automation systems
  • Strong leadership and administrative capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of library software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a newly established academic institution environment
  • Strong understanding of academic accreditation standards and research support services
