Consultant - MIS Emergency Data Management and Quality Assurance Support

* Drive the development of a robust Management Information System (MIS) to enhance disease surveillance, reporting, and decision-making capabilities for the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Bangladesh. * Architect solutions to address challenges in timely data entry, data accuracy, and quality assurance, particularly for emergency surveillance and laboratory-related data, in response to the ongoing measles outbreak. * Lead the implementation of emergency data management, validation, and standard operating procedures to ensure reliable, real-time data for informed coordination and decision-making. * Collaborate with national governments to strengthen core capacities, including laboratory and surveillance systems strengthening and emergency response operations, to improve compliance with International Health Regulations (IHR) and overall global health security. * Manage the design and implementation of data quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data, and to identify areas for improvement. * Develop and implement training programs to build the capacity of MIS staff in emergency data management, data validation, and standard operating procedures. * Foster partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society, academia, and the private sector, to leverage expertise and resources and support the development of a robust MIS. * Analyze and identify areas for improvement in the existing MIS and provide recommendations for system enhancements and upgrades to support disease surveillance and response efforts. * Ensure alignment of MIS activities with the USG's Global Health Security (GHS) program and the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Activity goals and objectives.
