Training and Advocacy Officer

* Drive training and advocacy initiatives to empower civil society organizations and foster community engagement. * Facilitate field-based trainings, workshops, and dialogues between communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote climate-resilient practices. * Lead the formation and strengthening of community groups, ensuring their capacity to advocate for their rights and interests. * Coordinate innovative climate-resilient projects, providing technical support and guidance to Community Facilitators and other team members. * Develop and implement effective monitoring, reporting, planning, and budgeting systems to ensure project success and accountability. * Champion agroecology, climate justice, food sovereignty, gender mainstreaming, and human rights-based approaches in all project activities. * Ensure the integration of safeguarding principles (Child Protection, Gender, and Anti-Sexual Harassment) into all project interventions, adhering to organizational policies and plans. * Foster collaborative relationships with government agencies, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote project goals and objectives. * Provide continuous support and capacity-building opportunities to Community Facilitators, enhancing their skills and knowledge to drive project impact. * Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in climate-resilient innovation, agroecology, and food sovereignty, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
