Project Officer (Agriculture)

* Spearhead agricultural initiatives, driving community engagement and development through participatory varietal trials, assessments, and seed bank development. * Collaborate with local communities to design and implement sustainable agricultural practices, including soil management, crop rotation, and conservation of natural forests. * Develop and manage agroecology learning centers, promoting nutrition gardening, shotobari, and vermicomposting techniques to enhance community well-being. * Organize and lead community events, such as seed fairs and uncultivated plants fairs, to foster knowledge sharing and exchange. * Work closely with Training and Advocacy Officers and Community Facilitators to integrate agricultural programs with advocacy and community development initiatives. * Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize agricultural outcomes. * Provide technical support and guidance to communities on participatory breeding, plantation, and conservation of natural resources, ensuring sustainable agricultural practices. * Foster partnerships with local stakeholders, promoting climate justice, food sovereignty, and environmental sustainability through agricultural development.
