Network & Security Engineer

* Architect and optimize IT infrastructures across enterprise environments, encompassing LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and other technologies. * Lead the management and support of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure seamless connectivity. * Drive the implementation and maintenance of routing protocols, such as OSPF and BGP, and switching technologies, including VLAN and EtherChannel. * Develop and troubleshoot secure connectivity solutions, including VPNs and remote access protocols, to protect data and ensure business continuity. * Proactively monitor network performance using tools like FortiAnalyzer and PRTG, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and outages to minimize downtime. * Deliver level 2/3 technical support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable network solutions that meet business needs. * Execute regular network maintenance and upgrades, including firmware updates and patch management, to ensure infrastructure stability and security. * Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, including SD-WAN, cloud networking, and network automation, to drive innovation and improvement. * Foster a safe and secure working environment, ensuring the well-being and protection of team members from harm, abuse, and exploitation. * Champion safeguarding policies and procedures, providing guidance and expertise to establish a culture of safety and respect. * Promote and enforce safeguarding standards in all aspects of work, encouraging team members to report incidents and concerns through established channels. * Drive a culture of accountability, reporting incidents and near-misses, and collaborating with stakeholders to prevent and respond to safeguarding concerns.
