Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of child protection activities, conducting sessions on computer skills, social cohesion, and resilience to empower adolescents.
* Architect and deliver computer training programs, aligned with approved curricula and competency standards, to equip learners with essential skills.
* Lead the design and facilitation of team plans, surveys, and training sessions, ensuring seamless execution and capacity building of field assistants.
* Foster social cohesion, life skills, and resilience among adolescents through structured sessions, activities, and community engagement initiatives.
* Manage computer session rooms, ensuring equipment, software, and materials are functional and ready for use, while guiding learners on safe and proper usage.
* Develop and maintain individual learner records, tracking attendance, performance, and skill assessments to inform training strategies.
* Conduct home visits to promote learner attendance and engagement, and facilitate sessions on social harmony, conflict sensitivity, and community engagement.
* Integrate life skills and positive behavioral messages into computer training sessions, ensuring a holistic approach to learning.
* Ensure compliance with project and donor requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government and non-government organizations, to advance project objectives.
* Champion safeguarding initiatives, ensuring the safety and well-being of program participants, team members, and communities, and promoting a culture of respect, tolerance, and inclusivity.
* Embed safeguarding policies and standards into every aspect of program delivery, providing guidance, support, and expertise to establish a safe working environment.
* Implement and promote safeguarding reporting procedures, encouraging incident reporting and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor/Honors in Computer Science or IT based subject
Additional
- Strong grounding in Child Protection in Emergencies, child development, safeguarding policies, and Core Humanitarian Standards
- Skilled in training needs assessment, reporting, work planning, and use of ICT tools for data management and documentation
- Effective communicator with proven ability to engage and coordinate with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrates leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Capable of managing stress, maintaining professionalism, and using supervision for continuous self-improvement and effective performance
- Shows empathy, patience, and a child-centered approach while working with vulnerable children and adolescents
- Experienced in promoting adolescent psychosocial wellbeing, resilience, social cohesion, and life skills
