Community Facilitator

* Spearhead community mobilization efforts to promote TB symptom screening among tea garden workers and their families, fostering a culture of health awareness and disease prevention. * Drive outreach activities, including door-to-door and group-based TB symptom screening, to identify high-risk individuals and presumptive TB cases, with a focus on vulnerable populations such as undernourished workers, smokers, and the elderly. * Architect and implement effective treatment adherence strategies, providing regular follow-up visits, counseling, and support to TB patients and their families, while ensuring seamless referral processes for TB preventive treatment (TPT) and post-TPT follow-up. * Lead the organization of portable X-ray camps, sputum camps, and other community-based initiatives to expand access to TB screening and diagnostic services, in close collaboration with field teams, health authorities, and partners. * Manage and coordinate logistics, including specimen collection and transportation, to ensure the smooth operation of TB screening and treatment services. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partners, promoting a culture of respect, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions. * Analyze and address the unique challenges faced by tea garden communities, including limited access to public health services, poverty, and poor health-seeking behavior, to inform targeted interventions and drive project success. * Collaborate with district health authorities and icddr,b to ensure alignment with the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP) and leverage prior experience in tea garden health interventions to maximize project impact. * Ensure the accurate collection and submission of data, including Tea Garden mapping and population data, to inform project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
