Key Responsibilities

* Drive community engagement and participation in Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) and Adolescent Development Centers (AdC) to foster a safe and protected environment for refugee children. * Mobilize parents and community members to attend meetings and awareness sessions, promoting collaborative efforts to support child protection and education. * Design and deliver issue-based awareness sessions in community blocks, addressing key concerns and promoting positive change. * Collaborate with club animators to implement adolescent programs, empowering young people with vital skills and knowledge. * Foster strong relationships with community-based child protection committees (CBCPC) and other forums to ensure effective communication and coordination. * Develop and execute simulative and recreational activities, as well as day observations, to promote child well-being and protection. * Support the implementation of programs and events, collecting data and contributing to reports and papers that inform project outcomes. * Facilitate meetings with CBCPC, Adolescent Forums, and other stakeholders, ensuring that child protection concerns are addressed and prioritized. * Identify and refer vulnerable children to case management services, providing critical support and protection. * Deliver high-quality child protection services, promoting awareness and adherence to child protection needs within the community. * Maintain accurate and detailed records of field sessions, including minutes and registers. * Contribute to the development of monthly child protection camp situation reports, providing insights and recommendations to the Child Protection Coordinator. * Submit monthly work plans and accomplishment reports to the Child Protection Supervisor, ensuring transparency and accountability. * Uphold the Inter-Agency Standing Committee's (IASC) six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), prioritizing the safety and well-being of team members and beneficiaries. * Establish a safe working environment, providing guidance and expertise on safeguarding to prevent harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. * Serve as a key source of support and expertise on safeguarding, promoting a culture of protection and respect within the organization.

  • Bachelor
  • Honors

Additional

  • Having Experience working on Child Protection in a Refugee context
  • Sound knowledge of Child Protection issues
  • Working with Adolescents and the Community
  • Having experience in quality report writing and developing need-based tools
  • Having experience in documentation
  • Able to communicate with English language (Speaking & Writing)
  • Able to speak & understand the Rohingya/ Chittagonian Language
