Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of skills training on Salon services, aligning with the WELP curriculum and training plan to empower participants in the Women's Group Support Services (WGSS).
* Design and deliver hands-on and theoretical training sessions on hairdressing, hairstyling, and hygiene practices, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
* Drive the adoption of safe practices and proper use of salon equipment and materials, promoting a culture of safety and responsibility.
* Develop and implement session plans, lesson outlines, and practice exercises, ensuring engaging and effective training sessions.
* Manage training schedules, ensuring timely completion of sessions and adherence to project timelines.
* Identify participants requiring additional support and coordinate with WELP/WGSS staff to provide targeted assistance.
* Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessment results, and training progress, to inform data-driven decision-making.
* Submit regular progress reports to the supervisor, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of salon equipment, tools, and materials, reporting any damage or maintenance needs promptly.
* Support stock management, ensuring materials are available for training and minimizing disruptions.
* Champion safeguarding principles, promoting a culture of protection and respect, and ensuring all activities are designed to prevent harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
* Implement and uphold the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)'s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
* Serve as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding, establishing a safe and respectful environment for all stakeholders.
