Key Responsibilities

* Drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework to track project progress, outcomes, and impact, ensuring alignment with project goals and donor requirements. * Empower children and youth participants to achieve individual goals through education and skill training, fostering a supportive environment for their growth and development. * Design and deploy data collection tools, methodologies, and systems to monitor project activities across multiple locations, ensuring seamless data flow and informed decision-making. * Lead data collection processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data from field teams and partners, and conduct rigorous analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to assess project effectiveness and impact. * Architect data analysis to ensure disaggregation by gender, age, and other relevant factors, enabling targeted analysis and data-driven interventions. * Develop and submit high-quality M&E reports, including monthly, quarterly, and final reports, to meet project and donor requirements, and document key lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform organizational learning and future project design. * Manage a well-organized database of M&E findings and documentation, ensuring easy access and reference for stakeholders, and provide training and ongoing technical support to project staff and local partners on M&E concepts, tools, and best practices. * Foster the capacity of local partners and project staff to design and implement effective M&E systems, ensuring sustainability and scalability of project interventions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate M&E findings into project planning and implementation, driving data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement. * Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies, maintaining the highest standards of quality, transparency, and accountability in M&E practices.

Requirements

Education

  • Master of Development Studies (MDS)
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Data Science
  • Master of Social Science (MSS)
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Data Science, Social Sciences, Disaster Management, or relevant subject

Additional

  • Minimum four years of professional work experience in MEAL roles
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) with community and relevant stakeholders
  • Well-known local language/dialect and ability to work with people from different cultures, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
  • Highly energetic, motivated and ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of different government structures and excellent understanding of humanitarian assistance in emergencies
  • Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
  • Proficiency in MS office tools, including Word and Power Point
  • Critical and creative thinking and analytical skills. Ability to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information
  • Experience of partnership management
