Manager- Material Control Department

* Spearhead MCD operations, overseeing material intake, storage, allocation, and tracking to ensure seamless production workflows. * Architect and implement robust inventory management systems to accurately track fabrics, trims, and accessories. * Drive material efficiency by monitoring consumption, minimizing wastage, and optimizing usage across production processes. * Foster cross-functional collaboration with Planning, Merchandising, Production, and Store teams to ensure material availability and alignment with production requirements. * Expedite material issuance, ensuring timely delivery to meet production deadlines. * Develop and maintain precise material reconciliation processes, tracking received, issued, and balanced materials. * Analyze fabric utilization, GSM, shrinkage, and consumption variance to identify areas for improvement. * Design and implement MCD systems, reports, and MIS to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. * Ensure meticulous documentation and traceability of materials, adhering to internal policies and buyer requirements. * Identify and address discrepancies, losses, or pilferage, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. * Champion cost control initiatives by optimizing material usage and minimizing waste. * Collaborate with the Quality team to inspect and approve materials, ensuring compliance with buyer requirements and internal standards. * Lead regular stock audits, maintaining audit readiness and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. * Innovate and refine material control processes and SOPs, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. * Mentor and develop team members on MCD best practices, promoting a culture of efficiency and accountability. * Prepare and present insightful material status reports to management, informing strategic decisions and driving business growth.
