Key Responsibilities

• Drive the installation, testing, and calibration of biomedical equipment to ensure seamless and safe operation, supporting accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. • Lead the commissioning and performance testing of new medical equipment, guaranteeing optimal functionality and compliance with regulatory codes. • Architect equipment approval processes, conducting rigorous technical evaluations, compliance checks, and modifications to meet hospital standards and regulatory requirements. • Manage comprehensive maintenance programs, encompassing preventive schedules, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs to ensure continuous equipment uptime. • Foster strategic partnerships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, managing warranties, and coordinating equipment upgrades to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness. • Analyze and optimize service contracts, prioritizing quality, reliability, and fiscal responsibility to drive exceptional patient care. • Deliver interactive training sessions and equipment demonstrations, empowering healthcare professionals to operate medical devices safely and effectively. • Conduct thorough technical assessments and feasibility studies to inform procurement decisions, ensuring the selection of cutting-edge medical devices and systems. • Enhance equipment performance by scrutinizing machine-patient interactions, gathering user feedback, and collaborating with manufacturers to implement technical enhancements. • Oversee equipment inventory management, forecasting requirements, procuring spare parts, and verifying supply chain integrity to minimize downtime. • Develop and submit comprehensive reports, including maintenance logs, calibration certificates, and performance summaries, to inform management decisions and drive quality improvement. • Ensure unwavering compliance with health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital protocols through proactive risk assessments and safety checks. • Safeguard sensitive patient information and protect confidential data related to medical equipment usage, upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hospital management, clinicians, and technical experts, to streamline operations, enhance patient care, and drive continuous improvement. • Provide critical support for emergency response situations, ensuring the uninterrupted functionality of life-sustaining equipment in ICU, OT, NICU, and other high-acuity areas.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Diploma in Electronics in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Additional

  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in handling diagnostic, ICU, NICU, OT, ophthalmic, and laboratory equipment.
  • Familiarity with service contract management.
  • Good report writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to respond to urgent technical issues beyond regular office hours.
