Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, buyer Codes of Conduct, and company policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
* Architect and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, including company policies, registers, and reports, to guarantee transparency and accountability.
* Drive the development and implementation of corrective action plans to address audit findings and ensure timely compliance.
* Manage compliance certifications and audits, such as BSCI, SEDEX, and Nirapon, to maintain a high level of compliance and certification.
* Lead buyer audits, including WRAP, BSCI, and C-TPAT, to ensure seamless audit processes and positive outcomes.
* Oversee worker health and safety, including fire safety, accident investigation, and root cause analysis, to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
* Design and deliver training programs, such as orientation, health and safety, and anti-harassment training, to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
* Ensure adherence to legal requirements related to leave, wages, overtime, benefits, and compensation to maintain a fair and equitable work environment.
* Develop and implement effective grievance handling and disciplinary procedures to promote a positive and respectful workplace culture.
* Conduct regular factory walkthroughs to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
* Foster positive industrial relations among workers, factory management, and top management to promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Collaborate with government and non-government organizations to stay up-to-date on compliance matters and best practices.
* Analyze and review personal files, payroll, and salary sheets to ensure audit readiness and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
* Develop and implement preventive action plans to minimize risks and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
* Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing company policies, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
* Ensure the factory meets structural, social, ethical, health, and electrical and fire safety requirements of buyers, third parties, and concerned bodies.
* Identify and address non-compliance issues through daily monitoring and internal audits, and initiate corrective actions to maintain compliance with labor laws and regulations.
* Maintain and review compliance mechanisms and tools, including statistical reports, to ensure effective compliance management.
* Review and update legal documents, certificates, and licenses to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
