Marine Carpenter (Zamil Shipyard, Saudi Arabia)

* Lead the installation, repair, and fabrication of ship components, including paneling, flooring, and ceilings, to ensure high-quality results. * Drive the fabrication and installation of doors, windows, and other carpentry elements, such as bonded, hinged, and fixed windows, and non-WT doors. * Manage the installation of insulation, deck underlays, and flooring materials, including PVC and carpet, to meet project requirements. * Collaborate with the Foreman to prepare berths for ship arrivals, ensuring efficient and safe operations in dock, dry berth, and floating dock areas. * Operate and maintain carpentry machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety. * Architect and requisition materials for repairs, minimizing delays and ensuring timely project completion. * Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures, Quality Manuals, and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. * Champion housekeeping and safety practices, maintaining a clean and tidy workplace, and promoting a culture of respect for customer premises and facilities. * Develop and submit timely and accurate reports, meeting section or department requirements, policies, and quality standards. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety rules, tools, and equipment, ensuring safe working practices and adherence to regulations. * Drive continuous learning and professional development, staying competent in the use of tools and equipment required for assigned tasks. * Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Carpentry Foreman and Supervisor, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
