Key Responsibilities
* Drive production efficiency and optimization by conducting time and motion studies and calculating Standard Minute Values (SMV) for all garment styles.
* Architect and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and promote lean manufacturing practices.
* Develop and maintain operational guides, including breakdowns, bulletins, and method layouts, to standardize production workflows.
* Lead line balancing initiatives and design efficient line layouts to minimize bottlenecks and maximize output.
* Calculate and manage manpower requirements based on SMV and production targets to ensure optimal resource allocation.
* Monitor and analyze hourly and daily production performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement.
* Identify and address productivity gaps by implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the production team.
* Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and other best practices.
* Conduct feasibility studies and style analyses to inform production decisions and ensure smooth bulk production.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including participation in pre-production meetings, to provide Industrial Engineering (IE) expertise and input.
* Develop and manage capacity planning and production targets for various garment styles, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Maintain and update the IE database, including SMV, efficiency, and capacity data, to support data-driven decision-making.
* Generate and distribute regular IE reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Support the merchandising team by providing accurate SMV data for costing purposes, ensuring informed business decisions.
* Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.
