Draftsman Estimator Civil Engineer

• Lead quantity take-offs for civil and structural projects, ensuring accuracy and precision • Architect detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) with comprehensive item descriptions and specifications • Drive cost estimation processes, incorporating materials, labor, and equipment costs to inform project decisions • Analyze and compare rates to optimize cost efficiency, developing insightful comparison statements • Validate vendor and contractor quotations to ensure compliance and fairness • Manage tender documents and bid evaluations, streamlining the procurement process • Design and review technical drawings, including GA, shop drawings, and as-built drawings, utilizing AutoCAD expertise • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and designers, to align design and construction plans • Identify and rectify design discrepancies, proposing corrective actions to ensure project integrity • Conduct site visits to verify quantities and track progress, informing project management decisions • Develop and implement variation orders, IPCs, and financial impact statements, minimizing project risks • Apply expert knowledge of estimation principles and construction methods to drive project success • Leverage Microsoft Excel expertise to create complex formulas and costing sheets, analyzing project data • Utilize Revit or SketchUp skills to enhance design and construction planning, driving innovation and efficiency • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and coordinating with diverse stakeholders to achieve project goals
