Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead the Transport & Logistics department, driving strategic planning and operational excellence.
* Architect and execute daily transport operations, including route optimization, scheduling, and timely goods and staff movement.
* Oversee fleet management, ensuring vehicle maintenance, fuel efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to streamline logistics activities, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
* Drive vehicle utilization, reducing idle time and boosting productivity through data-driven insights.
* Develop and manage logistics and transport budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
* Ensure adherence to transport laws, company policies, and safety protocols, maintaining a culture of compliance and risk management.
* Lead and develop high-performing teams, including drivers and logistics staff, through coaching, training, and performance management.
* Implement fuel-saving initiatives and negotiate contracts with transport vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
* Manage third-party logistics vendors, monitoring performance, service quality, and cost efficiency to ensure strategic partnerships.
* Design and implement GPS tracking systems, enabling real-time vehicle monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
* Troubleshoot transport delays, breakdowns, and operational issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transport operations, including trip logs, fuel usage, maintenance, and delivery records.
* Analyze performance metrics, generating actionable insights and reports to inform management decisions.
* Continuously assess and improve logistics processes, enhancing service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
* Prepare and submit regular reports, including PL, utilization, fuel, maintenance, and budget reports, to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Automobiles Engineering
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
Additional
- Communication skills in both English and Bengali
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Be able to cope with pressure, flexible and adaptable
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and proactive
- Well conversant with IT equipment
