Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead regional operations for the Urban Development Programme, driving the implementation of interventions and guiding field teams to achieve programmatic targets.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, supervising field teams and facilitating seamless communication between field offices and headquarters.
* Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including BRAC programmes, NGOs, and government agencies, to amplify the programme's impact.
* Design and implement climate-resilient water and sanitation systems, including excreta disposal, vector control, and solid waste management, to enhance community well-being.
* Lead community mobilization efforts, promoting the adoption of climate-resilient practices and ensuring the successful implementation of Community Action Plans (CAPs).
* Oversee the development of critical infrastructure, including community toilets, school sanitation blocks, water facilities, drainage networks, footpaths, and internal walkways.
* Drive the implementation of climate-resilient WASH interventions, reducing the vulnerability of climate-affected communities to hazards such as flooding, heatwaves, and waterlogging.
* Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of resilient infrastructure, building the capacity of community members to manage and maintain these systems.
* Facilitate strong communication exchange between field offices and headquarters, ensuring that programme progress is closely monitored and challenges are addressed in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with local governments and other stakeholders to advocate for inclusive, pro-poor urban planning and governance, promoting the development of safe, resilient, and sustainable cities.

Education
- Master of Development Studies (MDS)
- Master’s degree in development studies/environmental science/ public health
- Bachelor Degree in civil/ environmental engineering
Additional
- Minimum 5 years of working experience with NGOs or international development organizations
- At least 3 years’ experience in the Urban WASH project/ climate adaptation project or programme
- Field experience in working with municipalities, city corporations and private sector actors
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects
- Current national and global development trends related to climate adaptation and urban development
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization and negotiation skills
- Skills in documentation, facilitation and reporting
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
- Problem-solving mindset
