Key Responsibilities
* Drive medication safety by accurately dispensing prescription medications and verifying authenticity, dosage, and potential interactions.
* Lead patient counseling sessions to educate on proper medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects, ensuring informed decision-making.
* Champion the "Five Rights" of medication safety, guaranteeing the right patient receives the right medication at the right time.
* Manage pharmacy operations, including outpatient and inpatient counters, to ensure seamless medication supply and emergency response.
* Coordinate with healthcare teams to prepare and dispense critical medications, including unit-dose medications, IV fluids, and emergency drugs.
* Oversee inventory management, maintaining optimal stock levels, monitoring expiry dates, and conducting regular audits to prevent shortages or overstocking.
* Architect efficient procurement processes, assisting in medicine procurement, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Ensure regulatory compliance, adhering to Bangladesh Drug Control Ordinance, narcotics rules, and hospital pharmacy policies, while maintaining required registers and documentation.
* Foster strong patient relationships, addressing medication queries, educating on therapy adherence, and handling complaints or adverse reactions.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to drive optimal patient care, reporting medication errors, and maintaining accurate records, including dispensing records and sales reports.
* Develop and maintain a robust pharmacovigilance system, staying updated on new drug regulations, safety alerts, and recalls to ensure patient safety.
* Analyze and report on medication usage, identifying trends and areas for improvement to inform pharmacy operations and patient care strategies.

Education
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- M.Pharm or postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or hospital pharmacy
