OUTFITTING/SHIP FITTER (ZAMIL SHIPYARD, SAUDI ARABIA)

* Drive the fabrication of metal structural parts, including plates, bulkheads, and frames, to ensure precise assembly and alignment. * Architect and lay out metal components, utilizing blueprints, templates, and hand tools to guarantee accurate positioning and fit. * Lead the installation of parts in the ship's hull, collaborating with riggers to ensure secure and precise placement. * Align and adjust parts using specialized equipment, such as jacks and turnbuckles, to achieve optimal fit and functionality. * Manage the marking and drilling of holes, as well as the installation of temporary fasteners, to prepare for welding or riveting. * Install and integrate various components, including packing, gaskets, and structural accessories, to ensure comprehensive and durable assemblies. * Develop and prepare molds and templates for the fabrication of non-standard parts, driving innovation and efficiency. * Operate and maintain a range of shop machinery, including plate rolls, presses, and bending brakes, to shape and form heavy metal parts. * Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment and tools, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity. * Utilize expertise in sheet rolling, bending, cutting, drilling, and grinding machines to deliver high-quality results. * Champion health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all relevant rules and regulations. * Demonstrate proficiency in the use of specialized tools and equipment, ensuring competence and confidence in all assigned tasks. * Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to drive project success, communicating effectively and working flexibly in a team environment. * Apply technical knowledge and expertise to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, informing fabrication and installation decisions. * Leverage excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including supervisors and colleagues.
