Key Responsibilities

* Drive the implementation of Safeguarding and PSEA policies across the Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme, ensuring effective incident reporting and response mechanisms. * Lead safeguarding activity planning and implementation, engaging with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and respect. * Architect donor assessment processes and provide technical support to protect employees, volunteers, partners, and community members from harm or abuse. * Develop and execute capacity-building plans for employees, teachers, volunteers, and associated personnel on safeguarding policies and Code of Conduct. * Design and deliver awareness-raising events, campaigns, and materials to promote safeguarding and PSEA practices among employees, volunteers, and programme participants. * Collaborate with sector managers to ensure communities understand their rights, the organization's safeguarding commitment, and reporting channels, fostering trust in response systems. * Strengthen systems and processes by reviewing and developing tools, guidelines, and SoPs to support safeguarding and PSEA compliance. * Integrate safeguarding and PSEA aspects into programme operations, from design to implementation and monitoring, ensuring safe partnerships through due diligence and capacity building. * Manage and promote organizational incident reporting and response mechanisms, including internal case management and investigation processes. * Establish and ensure community-level complaints and feedback mechanisms, reporting on harm and abuse to senior management. * Monitor and report on safeguarding and PSEA activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to ensure the safety and welfare of individuals. * Conduct field observations to assess safeguarding and PSEA practices, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and providing feedback to redesign activities.

  • Bachelor
  • Honors Degree
  • Master in Social Science/Studies/Law

Additional

  • Skilled in analysing capacity building needs
  • Knowledge on current practices, standards, technical aspects of Safeguarding and PSEA
  • Able to travel frequently
  • Facilitation skills and experience on development of modules, communication materials
  • Good understanding on programme /sector operations in the community level and capacity building of them
  • Ability to present information analysis to senior management and external stakeholders
  • Sound interpersonal communication and networking skills
  • Communicates verbally and in writing to suit target audience and deliver messages effectively
  • Skilled in writing, presentation and any form of written communication
  • Able to plan an investigation and has the requisite skills to participate in an investigation, preparing report with agreed format
