Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead the implementation of project activities under the guidance of the Project Manager, driving progress and ensuring seamless execution. * Identify and onboard potential microenterprises, introducing them to climate-resilient and resource-efficient practices that foster sustainable growth. * Deliver technical expertise to microenterprises at the cluster level, empowering them to adopt innovative practices and technologies. * Design and establish demonstration projects, providing ongoing support and monitoring to ensure successful outcomes. * Develop engaging training materials, including manuals, leaflets, and case studies, to educate microenterprises on cutting-edge climate-resilient technologies and best practices. * Lead training sessions on climate-resilient livestock and food processing technologies, good agricultural practices, and climate change mitigation strategies. * Organize and facilitate field days, exposure visits, meetings, workshops, and seminars to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among stakeholders. * Explore opportunities for circular economy, value-added product diversification, and new market development, driving business growth and sustainability. * Compile and submit regular progress reports, providing insights and recommendations to inform project decisions. * Conduct regular field visits to track progress, provide support, and identify areas for improvement, ensuring microenterprises are on track to meet project objectives. * Foster strategic partnerships with government departments, academicians, value-chain actors, and private sector companies to leverage resources and expertise. * Drive the adoption of resource-efficient and cleaner production practices, promoting a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship. * Embody the principles of the SMART project, promoting resilient green growth, climate resilience, and technical capacity building among microenterprises.

Requirements

Skills

Team workGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood computer knowledge (MS office and relevant applications)

Education

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • B.Sc in DVM/Animal Husbandry
  • Master’s degree in DVM/Animal Husbandry

Additional

  • Relevant working experience with PKSF or any project funded by multi-lateral development partners
  • Working experience in enterprise development related projects
  • Knowledge on resource efficiency, product diversification, certification, environment, climate change and vulnerability
  • Practical knowledge and experiences in training modules, leaflets, case stories, etc. development
  • Ability to work in a team and with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer knowledge (MS office and relevant applications)
