* Drive mechanical setup and alignment by overseeing the assembly, positioning, and commissioning of heavy machinery, pumps, and plant auxiliaries, ensuring seamless installation and coordination with vendors and contractors. * Lead shift and breakdown support by acting as the primary technical contact to handle mechanical failures, making swift and effective decisions to repair equipment and minimize production downtime. * Champion equipment reliability by executing detailed maintenance schedules, including preventive and corrective tasks, to keep machines in optimal condition, and maintain updated equipment history records to track performance and recurring issues. * Manage resources and costs by controlling spare parts and chemical usage, reducing waste, and coordinating with purchasing to procure critical spares at the right time and cost. * Foster a culture of supervision and continuous improvement by guiding technicians and shift workers to ensure work discipline and safety compliance, and leading "Kaizen" initiatives to simplify tasks and enhance overall equipment performance. * Architect electrical installation and commissioning by supervising the setup, testing, and start-up of all electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and control panels, ensuring every component meets design standards. * Oversee operations and troubleshooting by managing shift duties to ensure a steady power supply, performing rapid fault-finding and repairs on motors, VFDs, and control circuits to resolve breakdowns and maintain plant operations. * Develop and implement maintenance and record-keeping strategies by planning and carrying out regular preventive and predictive maintenance, maintaining accurate logs of repairs, breakdown histories, and ISO-related documentation. * Drive inventory and procurement by monitoring critical spare parts and consumables, working closely with the procurement team to prepare purchase requisitions, and ensuring all necessary materials are available to support plant operations.
