Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead business development efforts to identify and capitalize on Financial Institution (FI) opportunities with local commercial banks and financial institutions. * Architect and execute targeted marketing strategies to drive trade processing units and branch engagement across all local banks. * Drive revenue growth by generating new business in LC Advising, LC Confirmation, UPAS Financing, and Trade Loans, with a focus on the bank's Hong Kong subsidiary. * Deliver against monthly and quarterly sales targets for trade products and services, ensuring consistent performance and growth. * Lead key relationships with trade partners, fostering open communication and seamless transaction flow to drive long-term partnerships and referrals. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of trade finance transactions, including LC advising, confirmation, and financing. * Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to trade processing and documentation, ensuring timely and efficient resolution. * Ensure adherence to trade rules, regulations, and bank policies, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management. * Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, providing actionable insights to inform business development strategies. * Develop and deliver regular business development reports, pipeline updates, and market analysis to the Head of FI, driving data-driven decision making. * Identify and pursue new opportunities for trade product penetration and revenue growth, expanding the bank's market share and competitive edge. * Facilitate a seamless transition of relationships, processes, and institutional knowledge, working closely with the outgoing incumbent to ensure continuity and minimal disruption. * Manage the handover of desk-related responsibilities, ensuring a smooth transfer of knowledge and expertise prior to the incumbent's departure.

Education

  • Graduation/post-graduation in any discipline from a reputed/UGC approved local or foreign university

  • Minimum 5-7 years in banking with focus on: Trade finance operations and sales
  • LC advising and confirmation procedures
  • UPAS financing and refinancing
  • Relationship management with bank trade teams
