Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead the initiation of legal action against defaulted clients by securing necessary permissions and approvals.
* Drive the filing and withdrawal of court cases, including those under the N.I. Act and Artha Rin Adalat Ain, with management's approval.
* Collaborate with Branch and Business Unit officials to coordinate and attend scheduled court hearings, ensuring effective representation before the court.
* Oversee and track the progress of cases in Lower Courts and the Supreme Court, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
* Architect the publication of critical notices, including auction notices, court summons, and warrants, to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
* Provide expert legal counsel and facilitate communication between PPC/Branch and panel lawyers to ensure successful case outcomes and adherence to court orders and regulatory directives.
* Manage the panel of lawyers, monitoring their performance and ensuring optimal results.
* Develop and maintain a robust Management Information System (MIS) to track litigation, legal issues, and regulatory compliance, generating reports for Bangladesh Bank, regulatory authorities, and Head Office divisions as needed.
* Streamline the payment process for lawyers' bills, adhering to the Bank's Schedule of Charge.
* Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Management to protect the Bank's interests and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Law (LLB)
- Master of Law (LLM)
- Enrolment with the Bangladesh Bar Council
