* Spearhead VAT and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations and deadlines * Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, tax returns, and related filings * Architect and maintain a robust documentation and record-keeping system for VAT and tax purposes * Drive tax audit and inspection processes, liaising with regulatory authorities and addressing assessments * Foster strong relationships with tax authorities, drafting official correspondence and documentation * Stay abreast of tax law changes, implementing necessary updates and ensuring seamless compliance * Manage VAT and withholding tax deductions, ensuring accurate submission and compliance * Collaborate on tax planning initiatives, identifying risks and optimizing costs * Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure tax compliance across all operational departments * Inform financial reporting by providing accurate tax provisions and disclosures * Develop and deliver presentations on VAT and tax matters to senior management * Facilitate audits by external consultants, internal audit teams, and tax authorities, ensuring seamless collaboration and compliance
