Key Responsibilities
* Drive Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) and Accountability to Affected Population (AAP) interventions to create opportunities for marginalized communities
* Lead training sessions on ESS for staff and stakeholders, identifying capacity-building needs and organizing relevant training sessions on child protection and ESS
* Ensure project activities align with ESS and AAP compliance, conducting environmental and social risk assessments to mitigate potential risks
* Facilitate safety and disaster risk mapping, guiding the project in addressing risks in a timely manner
* Foster strong community relationships through a coordinated approach, raising awareness on AAP and ESS through targeted sessions
* Develop and execute the Child Protection Working Group (CPWG) work plan and strategies, preparing briefing notes and presentations on achievements and gaps
* Design and implement technical tools and resources to support child protection activities, mobilizing resources for initiatives and facilitating regular CPWG meetings
* Promote effective communication and collaboration among CPWG members, including UN agencies, NGOs, and government bodies, and engage with other sectors to ensure cross-sectoral collaboration
* Represent the CPWG in relevant forums and coordination meetings, facilitating collaboration between working groups to ensure a coordinated approach to case management
* Analyze and disseminate child protection data to inform strategic decision-making, preparing periodic reports and incident reports as needed
* Architect capacity-building initiatives on ESS, AAP, coordination structures, and related policies, including the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF)
* Manage the implementation of ESS and AAP interventions, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services to children and their families
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure a harmonized approach to child protection, driving efforts to create a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable populations

Education
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in any relevant subject
- Advanced university degree in Environmental Science, Geography and Environmental Science, Social Work, Disaster Risk Management, Child Development, Human Rights, or a related field
Additional
- Strong knowledge of Inter-Agency Case Management and Child Protection guidelines
- Understanding of Core Humanitarian Standard, BRAC values, and key frameworks
- Proven skills in reporting, planning, and developing high-quality program documentation
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Effective facilitation, technical, and analytical skills with fluency in English communication
- Experience in project management with a focus on maintaining Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) compliance
- Strong competency in prioritization, meeting deadlines, and working in challenging, multicultural contexts
