Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead commercial operations, ensuring seamless alignment with company policies and procedures.
* Oversee account management, including vouching, posting, and reporting, while maintaining expertise in VAT and IT-related matters.
* Collaborate with department heads to plan, organize, and supervise departmental activities, driving strategic growth and efficiency.
* Foster strong relationships with external partners, including banks, C&F agents, freight forwarders, and shipping lines, to facilitate timely document processing and shipment.
* Drive import and export operations, including permit processing, customs formalities, and compliance with regulations, to ensure on-time delivery and shipment.
* Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with import/export regulations and on-time delivery.
* Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of HS codes, Customs Act, and other trade formalities to inform commercial operations.
* Prepare and submit yearly import and export customs statements for audit, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.
* Analyze and prepare reports, documentation, and insights for management review, driving data-informed decision-making.
* Architect and manage all import and export commercial operations, including document preparation, verification, and submission.
* Negotiate and coordinate with banks on LC opening, amendments, and payment settlements, ensuring timely and secure transactions.
* Ensure strict compliance with buyer contracts, terms, and conditions, as well as international trade regulations, to mitigate risk and protect company interests.
* Orchestrate shipment booking, cargo movement monitoring, and timely delivery to ports and buyers, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
* Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to optimize supply chain efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
* Track shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery according to buyer requirements, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Monitor financial transactions, payments, and adherence to company policies, identifying areas for cost optimization and process improvement.
* Support vendor negotiation, cost optimization, and commercial contract review, driving strategic growth and profitability.
* Identify and mitigate potential commercial risks, developing and implementing strategies to minimize impact and ensure business continuity.
* Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives, streamlining commercial operations and enhancing turnaround times.
