Role Overview• A Civil Engineer (Building Construction) in Bangladesh manages on-site structural construction, ensuring compliance with BNBC regulations, structural drawings, architectural drawing and safety standards. Key duties include supervising construction activities, material management, preparing progress reports, and coordinating with contractors/laborers. Job Responsibilities• Site Supervision: Supervise daily construction activities, including piling, reinforcement, concrete casting, and finishing works, ensuring they meet structural/architectural drawing specifications.• Quality Control: Ensure strict compliance with BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code), FAR, and RAJUK regulations.• Material Management: Prepare BOQ, costing, estimation, material requisitions based on design/drawings and verify the quality of materials received on-site.• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly work progress reports, maintain site records, and update project managers on schedules and potential delays.• Bill Verification: Measure completed work, maintain measurement books, and certify contractor bills.• Safety Implementation: Implement safety protocols, including the use of PPE for all staff.
