Environmental Specialist

* Spearhead environmental compliance and performance within the sweater manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to Bangladesh environmental laws, EU requirements, and buyer-specific standards. * Architect and maintain robust environmental management systems, including ISO 14001, Higg FEM, and ZDHC, to drive sustainability and minimize environmental footprint. * Oversee and optimize wastewater treatment, chemical compliance, energy, water, and waste management, leveraging expertise to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. * Drive resource efficiency and reduction of environmental impact by tracking and analyzing key performance indicators, such as energy consumption, water usage, and emissions. * Manage and mitigate environmental risks through thorough risk assessments, due diligence, and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with global market expectations. * Lead internal and external environmental audits, certifications, and corrective action closure, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. * Develop and submit comprehensive ESG, environmental, and sustainability reports, providing actionable insights to management and stakeholders. * Foster collaborative relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, certification bodies, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and compliance. * Design and deliver training and awareness programs, empowering employees to adopt environmental best practices and contribute to a sustainable future. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and other departments, to achieve sustainability targets and drive business growth. * Champion continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and cleaner production methods to minimize environmental impact. * Provide expert guidance and support on environmental and sustainability matters, driving strategic decision-making and business excellence.
