Laboratory Technician

* Drive high-quality laboratory testing, including microscopy and molecular diagnostics, for TB patients, ensuring accurate and timely results. * Conduct comprehensive screening for HIV and COVID-19 among TB patients, maintaining strict safety protocols and adhering to infection control measures. * Spearhead quality assurance initiatives, including reagent and health product testing, to guarantee the integrity of laboratory results. * Architect and implement effective outreach strategies for sample collection, expanding access to testing services for marginalized communities. * Manage and maintain accurate records, generating timely reports using various software platforms, including ASPECT, e-TB Manager, and TBCP. * Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring seamless inventory management, supply chain logistics, and equipment maintenance, with a focus on GeneXpert, Truenat, and microscopy. * Lead external quality assessment (EQA) activities, providing expert guidance and feedback to peripheral laboratories to enhance their performance and adherence to quality standards. * Foster a culture of gender equality and women's empowerment, promoting the organization's gender policy and ensuring a safe, respectful work environment. * Champion safeguarding practices, providing guidance and support to team members, and ensuring the implementation of safeguarding standards in all aspects of work. * Develop and maintain a robust reporting system, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete disease reports, as well as other reports required by BRAC and the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP). * Drive process improvements, focusing on key performance indicators such as reducing turnaround times, optimizing laboratory equipment utilization, and maintaining high-quality reporting. * Embed a culture of accountability, encouraging team members to report safeguarding incidents and concerns, and ensuring prompt action is taken to address them.
