Key Responsibilities

* Drive strategic programme development, implementation, and management, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and quality standards. * Architect programme components, including training, technical assistance, and grant management, to deliver objectives on time, within budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction. * Analyse programme performance, identifying areas for improvement and informing data-driven decisions to optimise delivery. * Lead the design and development of sustainable programmes and high-quality proposals, leveraging participatory approaches to secure institutional funding. * Champion compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring risk mitigation and adherence to standards. * Spearhead the development of the Annual Work Plan and Annual Report, supporting budgeting and ensuring timely submission. * Oversee the production of high-quality reports, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely submission to donors and stakeholders. * Make strategic implementation decisions, resolving challenges and driving programme success throughout the cycle. * Collaborate on project documents and gender-related policy frameworks, supporting the Country Director's vision. * Develop and implement an organisation-wide strategic plan, integrating programme monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) mechanisms. * Ensure programme quality, overseeing sound design, robust monitoring and evaluation, and impact documentation. * Lead budget development and monitoring, working closely with the programme team to optimise resource allocation. * Integrate inclusion measures into MEAL processes, focusing on gender equality indicators, quality benchmarks, and response monitoring tools. * Foster and maintain donor and partner relationships, driving fundraising efforts and diversifying funding sources. * Develop and execute a resource mobilisation strategy, concentrating on institutional donor funding and key focus areas. * Manage the partner portfolio, identifying and building relationships with implementing and strategic partners. * Cultivate links with civil society, the private sector, academic institutions, and governments, enhancing organisational collaboration and programme delivery. * Ensure excellent accountability, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction throughout programme implementation.

Education

  • Master of Social Science (MSS)
  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline
  • Postgraduate degree in public health, medicine, international development, economics, development studies or relevant discipline

Additional

  • Understanding of programmes
  • Technical experience in at least 2 programme areas
  • Experience of leading diversified teams
  • Knowledge of major frameworks of global development and humanitarian agenda
  • Knowledge of SPHERE, CHS and DEC Accountability Framework priorities
