Fabric Technologist (Chinese Supplier)

* Spearhead fabric sourcing, development, and production with a focus on China-based suppliers, driving end-to-end lifecycle management * Architect and implement supplier strategies, identifying and onboarding new mills that align with company objectives * Manage mill evaluations, securing internal approvals and ensuring seamless bulk production execution * Foster strong relationships with China suppliers, facilitating clear technical communication and issue resolution * Leverage expertise in China mill capabilities to select optimal suppliers for each development project * Drive supplier performance enhancement through proactive follow-up, technical support, and issue mitigation * Ensure strict adherence to buyer requirements, company SOPs, RSL, and sustainability standards, minimizing risks throughout the process * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and sourcing, to support fabric development and presentation * Translate buyer requirements into clear technical specifications, enabling effective development and production * Develop and submit comprehensive tech packs, including risk assessments, test reports, and other critical documentation * Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize supplier performance, fabric quality, and overall process efficiency
