Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead compliance with local labor laws, driving adherence to regulations on working hours, wages, benefits, and employment practices. • Stay abreast of evolving buyer compliance standards, architecting implementation strategies to ensure factory-wide alignment with BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, Accord/Alliance, and other key frameworks. • Orchestrate comprehensive audit preparations, encompassing social, QMS, technical, environmental, and CTPAT assessments to guarantee seamless execution. • Proactively conduct internal compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential risks. • Champion worker welfare by monitoring and enhancing canteen, dormitory, safety, and medical facilities to meet stringent compliance standards. • Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement targeted corrective action plans, driving meaningful change and improvement. • Maintain meticulous documentation, policies, and records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for buyers and auditors. • Design and deliver engaging training programs to educate workers and supervisors on compliance, workplace safety, and labor rights, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability. • Oversee the effective operation of grievance handling mechanisms, anti-harassment committees, and worker participation committees, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up on concerns. • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, tracking and addressing findings to drive continuous improvement and growth. • Analyze and report on compliance-related KPIs, providing actionable insights to management and informing data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Skills

Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 (amended) and all relevant labor rulesGood understanding of social compliance standards, factory audits, and buyer requirementsExperience handling CAP, audit preparation, and factory compliance documentationStrong communication skills for interacting with buyers, auditors, and internal teamsAbility to analyze compliance risks and implement sustainable improvement measuresProficiency in MS Office and report writing

Education

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • PGD in HRM/Compliance

Additional

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Garments/RMG factory Compliance Department
  • Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 (amended) and all relevant labor rules
  • Good understanding of social compliance standards, factory audits, and buyer requirements
  • Experience handling CAP, audit preparation, and factory compliance documentation
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with buyers, auditors, and internal teams
  • Ability to analyze compliance risks and implement sustainable improvement measures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and report writing
