Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of country-specific communication plans to elevate WFP's visibility and reputation, while supporting fundraising efforts and aligning with overall strategies.
* Deliver high-quality research and analysis to inform communications activities, preparing and disseminating timely information products to target audiences.
* Foster media relationships by maintaining a comprehensive contact list of journalists and media outlets, facilitating the flow of news and information about WFP's work.
* Architect and execute social media strategies, developing engaging content and leveraging platforms to amplify WFP's message and support its activities.
* Create compelling donor-specific content, including text, photos, videos, and audio, to support global and country-level fundraising initiatives.
* Monitor and analyze traditional and social media to evaluate communication activities, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic decisions.
* Lead and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support on complex analysis and queries, and contributing to their professional development.
* Develop and maintain accurate reports, collating outreach data to enable informed decision-making and ensure consistency in information presented to stakeholders.
* Champion capacity building among WFP staff, offering expert advice and guidance on communication strategies, and designing and reviewing training materials to drive quality and impact.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure aligned communications activities and a cohesive approach to WFP's messaging.
* Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, enabling WFP to quickly deploy resources and respond to crises.
* Manage assigned tasks and projects, driving results and delivering high-quality outcomes in support of WFP's mission.
Requirements
Education
- Master's or equivalent in Journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications or any relevant field
Additional
- At least 3 years of Professional Experience (managerial or supervisory) in areas related to Communications or other related field
- Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language
