Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) and Accountability to Affected Population (AAP) interventions, ensuring compliance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and project requirements.
* Lead the development of integrated Child Protection and GBV initiatives, fostering a harmonized approach among stakeholders to deliver effective services to children and their families.
* Architect capacity-building programs, designing and delivering training sessions on ESS, AAP, and child protection for colleagues and stakeholders to enhance their knowledge and skills.
* Manage ESS and AAP activities, executing the Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) Plan and equipping staff and volunteers with essential knowledge to ensure project compliance.
* Conduct thorough environmental and social risk assessments of project sites and facilities, identifying potential risks and guiding the project team in addressing them in a timely manner.
* Facilitate safety and disaster risk mapping, promoting a coordinated approach to risk management and community engagement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, raising awareness about AAP and ESS through targeted sessions and promoting active participation.
* Develop and implement technical tools and resources to support child protection activities, aligning with ESS and AAP requirements.
* Foster effective communication and collaboration among staff members, community stakeholders, and cross-sectoral teams, ensuring active involvement in ESS and AAP meetings and initiatives.
* Mobilize resources and support for child protection initiatives, driving cross-sectoral collaboration and engagement with other sectors and focal points.
* Represent BRAC in relevant forums and coordination meetings, promoting the organization's interests and objectives.
* Analyze and disseminate child protection data, informing strategic decision-making and driving project implementation.
* Prepare and submit regular reports on ESS and other key areas, ensuring timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
* Design and deliver capacity-building initiatives on ESS, AAP, coordination structures, PSEA, Child Safeguarding, and related policies, including the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF).
* Ensure timely project activity implementation, adhering to reporting mechanisms and addressing concerns promptly.
* Conduct regular field visits and monitoring activities, assessing Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) effectiveness and driving project improvements.

Education
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor's / Master’s degree in any relevant subject
- Advanced university degree in Environmental Science, Geography and Environmental Science, Social Science, Child Development, Human Rights, or a related field
