Key Responsibilities

* Drive financial operations by preparing payment vouchers, ensuring accurate tax and VAT deductions, and maintaining precise records of invoices, staff advances, and other documents. * Manage financial data by entering information into the accounting system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with CODEC's financial procedures. * Lead payroll preparation for the area office, submitting to the Finance & Admin Officer for review and approval. * Oversee financial record-keeping, updating all financial books and records in accordance with CODEC's financial procedures. * Architect a well-organized filing system, maintaining up-to-date personal files of project personnel and ensuring confidentiality. * Coordinate leave management, tracking annual, sick leave, and travel records to ensure seamless personnel administration. * Develop and implement effective financial management systems, ensuring compliance with CODEC and OXFAM's Code of Conduct, safeguarding policies, and data privacy standards. * Collaborate with the Finance Focal at CODEC to ensure alignment with project objectives and financial regulations, driving financial excellence and transparency. * Manage financial operations in the field, traveling to coastal communities and project locations to provide financial support and guidance, and ensuring financial operations are conducted in a secure and efficient manner.

Education

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance
  • Master’s degree in Finance/ Accounting

Additional

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Finance and Administration
  • Planning, budgeting, and financial management skills
  • Skilled in documentation, facilitation, presentation & reporting
  • Computer knowledge
  • Software Operations
  • Financial controlling and financial reporting skills
  • Field level monitoring skill
