Deputy Director – Safety & Security

* Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies to ensure a safe and secure university campus environment. * Drive security operations, supervising security personnel, and overseeing 24/7 security coverage for all campus facilities and events. * Architect and manage security schedules, duty rosters, and emergency response plans to ensure seamless security coverage. * Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, documenting and reporting findings to university administration, and ensuring timely escalation of critical safety and security matters. * Design and deliver security awareness training programs for staff, students, and faculty, promoting a culture of safety and security across the campus. * Manage and maintain surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and access control systems, ensuring optimal functionality and recommending upgrades as needed. * Develop, implement, and review security policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures, identifying potential security threats and implementing preventive measures. * Collaborate with senior management to inform security planning and risk-related decision-making, and provide support for campus operations, including emergency response and essential facilities coordination. * Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Proctor's Office, to support student security and safety matters, and drive continuous improvement in security services through recruitment, training, and staff development initiatives. * Oversee security-related operational expenses, ensuring effective budget management and resource allocation, and perform other duties as assigned by university management to support the overall security and safety mission.
