Key Responsibilities

* Drive the development of a comprehensive capacity-strengthening strategy for the PROTISTHAA project, focusing on government institutions, consortium teams, local organizations, volunteers, and community structures. * Lead the design and implementation of tailored capacity-building programs, workshops, and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of key stakeholders. * Foster collaborative relationships with consortium partners, local organizations, and government institutions to ensure effective capacity development and project implementation. * Manage the development of training materials, guides, and tools to support capacity strengthening, and ensure their dissemination to relevant stakeholders. * Architect a framework for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of capacity-strengthening initiatives, and drive continuous improvement. * Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local organizations, community groups, and government institutions to support project goals and objectives. * Drive the development of a culture of learning and innovation within the project, encouraging experimentation, reflection, and adaptation. * Oversee the development of knowledge products, such as case studies, research papers, and policy briefs, to capture and share best practices and lessons learned. * Ensure that capacity-strengthening initiatives are aligned with the project's overall goals and objectives, and contribute to the reduction of loss of life, protection of livelihoods, and improvement of resilience among disaster-prone populations. * Collaborate with the MEAL team to ensure that capacity-strengthening initiatives are monitored, evaluated, and reported on, and that lessons learned are integrated into project decision-making. * Facilitate cross-organizational learning and knowledge sharing, ensuring that best practices and lessons learned are disseminated across the consortium and beyond.

Requirements

Education

  • Master of Development Studies (MDS)
  • Master of Social Science (MSS)
  • Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Development Studies, Education, Public Policy, Climate Science, Social Sciences, or related field

Additional

  • Experience working in consortium projects or multi-agency coordination mechanisms
  • Technical knowledge of early warning systems, anticipatory action, or multi-hazard preparedness
  • Experience with government institutionalization processes
  • 5 years of experience in capacity development, training system design, or organizational development in humanitarian/DRR programming
  • Experience working with government training institutions, DRR platforms, or anticipatory action systems
  • Demonstrated experience delivering ToTs, simulations, and multi-tier training programs
  • Strong background in planning, curriculum development, facilitation, and adult-learning methodologies
  • Strong facilitation and adult-learning design abilities
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel extensively in project areas
  • Fluency in Bangla and English required
