Key Responsibilities

* Drive the implementation of safeguarding minimum standards, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Environmental and Social Standards (ESS) to ensure programs are delivered safely, ethically, and in compliance with IRC's policies and international standards. * Architect and deliver safeguarding and PSEA training programs for staff, volunteers, and partners, leveraging technical expertise from the Safeguarding Coordinator to foster a culture of respect, safety, and accountability. * Lead the development and adaptation of safeguarding materials, prioritizing accessibility, inclusion, and child-friendly approaches to promote awareness and capacity strengthening among staff and communities. * Manage the rollout of regular refresher trainings and awareness sessions, targeting frontline staff, managers, and community-facing roles to ensure a strong safeguarding culture. * Facilitate the safe and confidential receipt and referral of safeguarding and PSEA concerns, guiding staff on survivor-centered response protocols and ensuring adherence to IRC's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and donor guidelines. * Collaborate with program teams, People & Culture, partners, and accountability units to strengthen reporting and response systems, ensuring seamless integration of safeguarding principles into program design and delivery. * Foster a culture of respect, safety, and accountability, promoting IRC's Code of Conduct and donor PSEA Core requirements to staff, volunteers, and partners, and driving a survivor-centered approach to safeguarding and PSEA response. * Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including program teams, partners, and community leaders, to ensure strong safeguarding systems are in place and functioning effectively. * Drive continuous improvement and learning, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to strengthen safeguarding and PSEA practices, and ensuring compliance with IRC's policies, donor requirements, and international standards.
