Staff Lawyer- Legal Help desk

* Spearhead helpdesk operations, delivering expert legal advice and guidance on freedom of expression issues to Civil Society Organizations, Human Rights Defenders, media practitioners, and communities across Bangladesh. * Drive the provision of timely and accurate legal information, responding to queries and conducting preliminary assessments of complaints to determine the best course of action. * Architect referral pathways, connecting individuals and organizations with relevant legal aid services, panel lawyers, or partner organizations to ensure comprehensive support. * Manage and maintain meticulous records of helpdesk interactions, legal advice, and referrals, ensuring seamless case management and follow-up. * Foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including CSOs, HRDs, and media practitioners, to promote the legal helpdesk service and advance freedom of expression rights. * Develop and implement effective reporting and monitoring systems, tracking helpdesk activities, and analyzing trends and case studies to inform service improvement. * Design and deliver capacity-building initiatives, such as awareness sessions, workshops, and training programs, to empower target groups and promote freedom of expression rights. * Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to stay abreast of emerging issues and best practices, ensuring the legal helpdesk remains a trusted and authoritative resource. * Lead the preparation of monthly and periodic reports, providing insights into helpdesk performance and impact, and contributing to the ongoing evaluation and refinement of services. * Champion the legal helpdesk service, promoting its value and reach among target groups and supporting the overall objectives of the FREED project.
