Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead financial management by accurately recording and posting daily transactions in financial books and accounting software, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations with minimal supervision.
* Drive administrative efficiency by maintaining precise record-keeping, adhering to accounting standards, and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
* Architect and implement VAT and tax strategies, including planning, compliance, and reporting, to minimize risks and optimize financial performance.
* Develop and manage comprehensive financial reports, including fund positions, yearly financial statements, and budget vs actuals (BvA) analyses, to inform strategic decision-making.
* Lead cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs, and oversee staff accounts, advances, and settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Foster a culture of compliance by ensuring accurate and timely filing of VAT returns, income tax returns, and other statutory filings, as well as maintaining NGOAB compliance and BAS.
* Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, asset registers, and inventory, ensuring effective utilization of resources and minimizing waste.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish grant management systems, ensure donor compliance, and undertake due diligence and ongoing compliance issues.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff and volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Leverage expertise in Office Management tools (MS Word, Advance MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and Tally Accounting software to generate and submit daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to drive business growth and informed decision-making.
* Ensure strong knowledge of banking, tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance, and prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements to maintain financial integrity.

Skills
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and bookkeeping practicesProficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)Good knowledge of administrative procedures, office management, and logistics coordinationExcellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively with program, finance, and administrative teamsGood communication skills in both Bengali and EnglishHigh integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Education
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Accounting
- Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Additional
- Professional certifications such as CA CC or partly qualified are a plus

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
