Key Responsibilities

* Drive the implementation of child protection services, leveraging structured sessions, outreach activities, and community engagement to empower women, prevent Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and promote positive parenting practices. * Lead GBV prevention discussions, workshops, and role model identification to foster a culture of accountability and male engagement in the community. * Collaborate with stakeholders, including community leaders, camp committees, and Imams, to design and execute GBV prevention interventions and capacity-building initiatives. * Architect and deliver training programs for community male role models, equipping them to champion GBV prevention activities and support vulnerable populations. * Manage the development of community-based child protection committees, supporting parents, caregivers, and volunteers to ensure comprehensive child protection services. * Conduct home-to-home visits to identify and register community members, provide positive parenting sessions, and facilitate community-led initiatives, such as Child Protection Committee (CBCPC) and Women's Leadership Group (WLG) sessions. * Coordinate outreach-based child protection activities, maintaining regular attendance and follow-up with children and adolescents to ensure their safety and well-being. * Develop and submit regular work plans and progress reports, ensuring transparency and accountability in project implementation. * Empower volunteers working in multi-purpose child and adolescent centers, building their capacity to deliver effective child protection services. * Ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities on program activities, progress, and concerns. * Champion safeguarding practices, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and zero tolerance for harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA). * Provide guidance, support, and expertise on safeguarding, fostering a safe working environment and encouraging others to report incidents and concerns. * Implement and promote safeguarding policies, standards, and reporting procedures, ensuring a proactive and responsive approach to safeguarding across all program activities.

Education

  • Bachelor/Honors

Additional

  • Ability to manage stress and emotions effectively while using supervision for reflection and maintaining performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of the child
  • Demonstrates creativity and initiative in developing practical protection solutions for children and adolescents
  • Effective communication, networking, and coordination with child protection actors, CiC, and government stakeholders
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach when working with vulnerable children and adolescents
  • Solid knowledge of child protection in emergencies, safeguarding policies, humanitarian standards, and strong capacity in reporting, planning, and implementation
