Key Responsibilities

* Drive the development and implementation of climate-resilient agricultural initiatives, providing technical expertise and hands-on support to frontline staff to enhance their capacity in agriculture and food security. * Architect market access solutions for small-scale farmers, establishing collection centers and linking them with private sector enterprises, input/output markets, and market channels to boost their economic prospects. * Manage program quality, ensuring the effective dissemination of innovative technologies and practices, sound financial management, and high-performing field staff to achieve project objectives. * Deliver technical guidance to field teams on crop production, livestock management, income-generating activities, and climate change interventions, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. * Mentor and support Area, Regional Managers, and Programme Organisers, providing supervision, monitoring, and participant follow-up to ensure seamless project execution. * Foster strategic partnerships with government agencies, local authorities, NGOs, private enterprises, and project stakeholders, coordinating meetings, workshops, and community mobilization efforts to drive collective impact. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BRAC personnel, relevant programs, and external partners, to leverage resources, expertise, and knowledge for enhanced project outcomes. * Develop and execute activity plans and budgets, aligning with Annual Operational Plan targets and timelines to ensure efficient resource allocation and project delivery. * Ensure rigorous project reporting, documentation, and knowledge management, utilizing Management Information Systems, Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks, and case studies to inform data-driven decision-making. * Champion safeguarding practices, prioritizing the safety and well-being of programme participants, staff, and stakeholders, and promoting a culture of accountability and transparency within the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Animal Husbandry
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • B.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture, Fisheries

Additional

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in agriculture and livestock related activities
  • Knowledge on climate-resilient agriculture, livestock, and livelihood-related activities
  • Sound knowledge about market and value chain development, crop diversification, social issues and gender considerations
  • Entrepreneurship development and organizing producer groups
  • Able to develop training modules and facilitation
  • Understanding of buyer demand, market information, and product quality
  • Understanding of disaster management, climate change, and adaptation strategies
  • Coordination and collaboration skills and Team building and leadership abilities
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge on MS Office, MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Report preparation, lesson learned, training facilitation, budget preparation, report on M& E, MIS and case studies
